The last few weeks, a new admin has come out of nowhere to be the centre of controversy for Octane. Prowlin-Wolf, a Paltalker originally from Live, has been ‘adminting’ in Octane for only a few weeks now, but has managed to alienate co-owner Cunty and 4th in command Asylum from co-owners Roby and Dolfan.

Things got especially heated up this past Saturday when Prowlin-Wolf was awarded a super admin status in order to avoid being bounced by Cunty and Asylum. Cunty and Asylum were following, ironically enough, Roby’s lead, who was bouncing Prowlin out for playing that god-awful 70s-era cheese porn wave.

Cunty responded by going on strike, and Asylum and Roby followed. Roby was striking for an additional reason; Roby was upset at the creation of another admin position without his prior consent. After holding out for about 3 hours, Roby broke ranks once his issue was resolved, and once Dolfan committed to some concessions for SassyScotGal, such as hot uniforms and more smoke breaks, Roby was happy and crossed the line.

Cunty and Asylum were not happy with this development, because the larger issue of giving a new admin senior status both insulted them and took the power over Prowlin-Wolf away from them. Cunty decided to kick it up a notch.

Cunty went straight for the admin console Saturday afternoon, logging oin under Dolfan’s name and removing all the administrators. Dolfan, seeing that noone could log in, went and restored the access and changed the password, hoping that would keep Cunty out. However, since Cunty never logged out in the first place, she continued to remove admins as Dolfan placed them on.

Dolfan being less computer savvy and more emotional than most, got very anxious and upset. Was Cunty breaking into his computer? How did she get the new password? How was she changing it when Dolfan has the code? Does she have a key logger or a a virus on his computer? Dolfan panicked. Even after talking to Roby and Roby trying to reassure him that Cunty is simply logged into the site and we need her to time out, this didn’t satisfy Dolfan. In a rage, Dolfan talked to PalAnne (a chat room admin) and asked her to sort Cunty out.

Well PalAnne did. After giving Cunty a 24 hour ban from being an admin anywhere, she shut the room down. Dolfan went offline for a few hours, and after about 15 minutes, and several questions, Roby set up a contingency room and ran Octane Rock for a few hours until Dolfan returned and felt comfortable taking the keys back. Roby also attempted to get Cunty and Dolfan talking again, and they seemed to make up, if only temporary.

The war wasn’t over though. Prowlin-Wolf still had the senior administrator status that Cunty and Asylum did not approve of, and Cunty and Asylum were warned to keep their hands off of Prowlin-Wolf. They reluctantly let him go for now. Prowlin-Wolf never stopped sucking up to Dolfan and rubbing it in Cunty and Asylum’s face that he was a good admin and they were not. A smear campaign to discredit Cunty followed in the room.

But this was only the beginning. A new Paltalker, ludacris67, spotted an opportunity to exploit a hole in the program in order to cause complete chaos in the room. Essentially by sending packets targetted at the room, Ludacris could effectively control who got on the mic and who didn’t. Ludacris, who goes by Node on Live, the program he came from, has it in for several insulters including Outlaw and Nexmuv who are also ex-Livers.

And so Ludacris flexed his muscles and started knocking people off the mic at will. Most admins, thinking it was lag, would either opt to close the room down or take all the mics away to restore order, but it was for naught. He continued this onslaught at various times for 4 days straight. This served only to stir up the masses even more cause the admins didn’t know what was going on and it was degrading the room experience.

But Ludacris had to brag, and at some point word got out of what he was doing, and Ludacris openly admitted to Dolfan and the room that he was essentially hijacking it. He offered to stop lagging out the room in exchange for an admin hat. Cunty and Asylum and Roby balked, saying do not give hackers hats, instead report them or fight back. Dolfan made a deal that if Ludacris could take down DSI (Dragon Slyer Insults, the #2 room) using the same methods than he would consider giving him a hat at that time. Ludacris slowed down the attacks on ORI.

It came out shorty after that Ludacris was not only from Live, but was Prowlin-Wolf’s friend. Cunty immediately concluded that Prowlin-Wolf was attempting to take the room over, using Ludacris, and the war was on. Ludacris was banned and Ludacris began attacking the room again. Prowlin was once again dotted, and Asylum began making knockoff Prowlin-Wolf nicks, in which he would play a dirty male porn vid.

Dolfan continued to remove Ludacris from the ban list, as did Prowlin. The atatcks continued and even usually patient Roby lost his cool and yelled on the mic a few times Wednesday afternoon, locking the room down to do so, and calling ludacris out and telling him to stop the shenanigans. Dolfan once again tried to take control and restore order.

Friday night, after two more days of off and on attacks, a meeting was set up to discuss how to dispatch of this menace to the room. However, the meeting broke down into a shouting match between Cunty, Dolfan and Roby, with other admins watching. Roby, trying to bring the two other owners together, was screaming on the mic and telling them that Ludacris is only the symptom of the real problem, which is that the three owners aren’t communicating and presenting a uniform front on the room. However, nothing was bridged.
Cunty was firm on that Prowlin needs to go. Cunty is also convinced that, even though she had no proof, that Lucacris and Prowlin are in cahoots and colluding to take the room down. Dolfan was firm that Cunty was not respecting his opinion and listening to her. Roby set up a contingency room in case Dolfan walked out. Dolfan instead fired Cunty and Asylum and asked for their hats. Pony dropped his hat in protest, and no one is sure if it is permanent or temporary.

So this is where all stands this morning. Cunty and Asylum are MIA, Ludacris is still not resolved and Prowlin-Wolf is still by far the most hated admin in Octane history. Will Dolfan and Cunty continue to let this controversy boil and admins end up leaving for other rooms? Or will they reach an agreement?
